Ms. Sabrina HO Shuk-ying

Ms. Sabrina Ho is a practising barrister. She was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2009. Her practice focuses on commercial, company and insurance law.

Ms. Ho is a member of the Election Committee (Legal Sector) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform and the Board of Review (Inland Revenue Ordinance). She is also a board-appointed member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Estate Agents Authority and a lay member of the Council of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

Ms. Ho is an arbitrator on the list of arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and an arbitrator of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. She is also a member of the Bar Council of the Hong Kong Bar Association.

Register of Member's Interests

The Competition Ordinance and the Rules of Procedure of the Commission require that a member of the Commission, or a member of a committee of the Commission, must disclose to the Commission any interest that the member has which is of a class or description determined by the Commission. The Competition Ordinance and the Rules of Procedure also provide that the Commission is to establish and maintain a register relating to any such disclosed interests which it must make available for inspection through the Internet.

The purpose of maintaining and publishing a register of interests is not specified in the Competition Ordinance. Nonetheless, the Commission infers that the purpose is to enhance transparency and to ensure objectivity, fairness and public confidence in the decision-making of the Commission.
